Two Ridings Community Foundation: Cost of Living Crisis Fund in the UK

Deadline: 27-Mar-23

The Two Ridings Community Foundation is announcing its Cost of Living Crisis Fund, created as a response to the spiralling cost of living.

The Foundation expects demand will be high and it is likely only possible for foundation to make a contribution towards total project costs. The fund will enable groups to support their community during this crisis. The Foundation, and its donors recognise, that the current situation is already deeply impacting the communities and the organisations that the Foundation supports, and will continue to do so.

Initial funding was focused on small grants of up to £2,000 to support individuals directly. The Foundation is now in a position to be able to award grants up to £10,000 to support community organisations as well as individuals. There is specific criteria for applying for a grant up to £10,000.

Funding Information

For these grants the Foundation would expect some funding to be used to provide emergency support to local people as outlined (up to £2,000). For community hubs (many of which will be a registered warm space), up to £8000 could be used to support your core overheads and staffing costs associated with being a warm space.

Eligibility Criteria

The Foundation recognises that all sectors of society are affected by the cost of living crisis and will assess needs at each panel and prioritise funding to those who are particularly vulnerable at this time.
