The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is seeking applications for funding for the fiscal year (FY) 2020 Missing and Exploited Children Training and Technical Assistance Program.
The Program provides assistance to prosecutors, state and local law enforcement and child protection personnel, medical providers, and other child-serving professionals to strengthen multidisciplinary team responses to and improve prosecution of missing and exploited children’s issues. OJJDP funds this program to build the capacity of state, tribal, and local agencies, and to encourage the development and implementation of best practices related to the investigation and prosecution of cases of missing and exploited children. Through this solicitation, OJJDP will support a coordinated and comprehensive training and technical assistance program that includes program design, development, and implementation.
This program furthers the Department’s mission by reducing crime and victimization, and supporting prosecutors through enhancing the capacity of law enforcement, prosecutors, and other criminal justice professionals to respond to child abduction and exploitation.
The goal of this initiative is to design, develop, and provide training and technical assistance services to strengthen the overall response to missing and exploited children’s issues.

- Estimated maximum dollar amount for each award Up to $1,800,000
- Total amount anticipated to be awarded under solicitation $1,800,000
- Period of performance duration 15 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- The following entities are eligible to apply:
- nonprofit and for-profit organizations (including tribal nonprofit and for-profit organizations) and
- institutions of higher education (including tribal institutions of higher education).
- All recipients and subrecipients (including any for-profit organization) must forgo any profit or management fee.
