The United States Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, is seeking applications for its grant program entitled “Improving Transparency — Strengthening Local Organizations to Report on Crime and Corruption” which aims to improve transparency and accountability in Nicaragua by strengthening local organizations to better track and report on crime and corruption (to include domestic and transnational organized crime).

The project will support strengthening local capacity to understand and inform Nicaraguans about these important issues.

The anticipated total federal funding amount is not to exceed $900,000.

Note: Public International Organizations (PIOs) and For-Profit Organizations are excluded from applying to this grant announcement.
