Deadline: 30 April 2018

The U.S. Embassy in Copenhagen together with the Bureau of International Information Programs (IIP) has announced a limited competition for a cooperative agreement to implement a two-day TechCamp workshop from June 25-27 in Copenhagen, Denmark, and to support follow on activities after the workshop.

The workshop will bring together Danish and pan-Scandinavian CVE practitioners and social media opinion makers under the theme of further improving society’s inclusion of immigrant and refugee youth and moving away from parallel societies and radical messaging.

TechCamp Objectives

The objective of the TechCamp is to build the capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs) that are dedicated to engaging the young and vulnerable to use digital tools and strategies to raise awareness of available CVE resources and build resilience to radicalization and violent extremism among youth. Furthermore, the objective is to increase collaboration among CSOs and others working to counter extremism, and with technology experts, in order to better coordinate efforts to reach the young and vulnerable with innovative tools and strategies.
