U.S. Embassy in Ethiopia: Journalism Training – Connecting Media and Government

In-person and Virtual Fellowships for Journalists in Asia-Pacific

The U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia has announced an open competition for non-governmental and non- profit organizations to submit applications to carry out a journalism training program entitled: Connecting Media and Government.

Each training will consist of two days, with the first day consisting of training on interview techniques for journalists and government officials (conducting and giving respectively) in separate groups. The second day would bring the participants of both groups together to conduct mock interviews and test their new skills.

In each training, up to 20 participants will be selected for each group. The project targets working journalists and any government official with the authority to speak to the press at the national or regional level.
