U.S. Embassy in Macedonia: Democracy Commission – Special CVE Round

Deadline: 15 April 2018

Applications are open for Democracy Commission – Special Countering violent extremism (CVE) Round to award grants to Macedonian non-profit and non-governmental organizations for projects that build community resilience; to identify, interrupt, and prevent radicalization efforts; and/or to address the social or economic push factors to violent extremism in the country.

This grant program will support projects and activities aimed at preventing recruitment or radicalization to violence by interrupting those efforts, building community-level resilience to them, and identifying the early signs of radicalization to violence and providing appropriate interventions through collaboration with civic organizations, law enforcement or other entities.  Successful projects will focus on strengthening community networks to address this issue, and all projects must include a multi-stakeholder approach that includes community leaders from different sectors in the planning and implementation of program activities.
