U.S. Embassy in Tunisia announces 2020 Fulbright Foreign Student Program

Call for Proposals: National Book Fund (US)

Deadline: 31 May 2019

The U.S. Embassy Tunis has announced the opening of the Fulbright Foreign Student Program competition for 2020-2021.

The Fulbright Program for Tunisians provides full funding for two academic years to complete a master’s degree program at a university in the United States.

The Fulbright Program enables Tunisian students to pursue graduate-level study in the United States of America. Participants also have the unique opportunity to experience life in the United States and share Tunisia’s unique culture and traditions with Americans. Participants are chosen through an open, merit-based competition in which leadership potential, academic excellence and the ability to adjust to life in the U.S. are all considered.

There are two different Fulbright Graduate scholarships available for Tunisian students. One provides successful candidates with a maximum of two years’ funding toward a master’s degree. The other provides graduate-level students enrolled in doctoral programs the opportunity to conduct research in U.S. Institutions of Higher Education for one academic year in the context of cultural and academic exchange.

The scholarships cover expenses incurred for travel to and from the United States, tuition, books, health insurance, and room and board. Funding is NOT available to meet expenses related to Fulbright grantees dependents (husbands, wives, children, parents, etc).
