U.S. Embassy in Zambia: Academy for Women Entrepreneurs Program

European Commission: Tackling Outbreaks of Plant Pests Programme

Deadline: 16-Dec-20

The U.S. Embassy in Zambia is pleased to announce an open competition to award a grant to implement the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs program (AWE).

The Public Affairs Section invites proposals from Zambian not-for-profit associations, civil society organizations, and academic institutions to design and implement an intensive program that provides emerging female entrepreneurs with critical skills for founding or scaling up their businesses and help develop a network among participants and trainers for future collaboration and support.

The AWE program highlights the U.S. government’s commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and women’s empowerment to create a better economic future through fulfilling women’s economic potential, and in doing so, contribute to increased stability, security and prosperity for all. In Zambia, AWE has connected participants to learning, resources and opportunities by leveraging alumni networks, NGOs, public and private organizations and through a robust training program anchored on the program’s three main pillars: knowledge, networks and resources.

The U.S. Embassy’s Public Affairs Section (PAS) invites proposals from local organizations that would like to partner to implement the AWE program in 2021. The grantee should have the capacity, experience and expertise to implement the program.
