U.S. Embassy Public Affairs Section (New Delhi): Seeking Proposals for All-India Alumni Conference

Somerset Coronavirus Response & Recovery Fund - United Kingdom

Deadline: 10 August 2016

The U.S. Embassy Public Affairs Section in New Delhi is seeking proposals for All-India Alumni Conference with an aim to strengthen the alumni network and contribute to the personal and professional development of participants.

Breakout sessions incorporating speakers and USG visitors could be on themes of strategic importance to the U.S.-India relationship, including, but not limited to, regional connectivity, climate change, entrepreneurship and innovation, gender-based violence, and youth activism.

The conference will also include a session to develop alumni capacity to compete for and manage grants. The speakers will be selected from within and outside the alumni community, from India and the U.S. in collaboration with U.S. Embassy, New Delhi.

It will include a follow-on component that would lead to greater collaboration among the alumni across the country, focused on strengthening regional chapters/associations, forming one to-one mentoring relationships, and administering a small-grants competition for the alumni.
