Why is it important to set out project outcomes?
- You must be able to predict the likely measurable impact of a grant. In order to do this you must first clearly define your project outcomes.
- Project outcomes are important because they indicate how your project will make a difference, therefore only projects that clearly explain what their outcomes are will be supported. If you aren’t clear about the outcomes your project is likely to create, or if you are clear about your outcomes, but it doesn’t line up with the outcomes specific criteria of the funding theme you are applying for, it will not be supported.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Foundation is open to any registered charity; voluntary organisation, group or committee; or non-profit organisation.
- However, please bear in mind that access to certain funds is restricted to specific types of organisations, ensure you read the particular guidance under each funding theme to make certain you are eligible to apply.
- The grant must be used to fund services, projects and activities that will benefit the local community. Joint applications are welcome from organisations wishing to work together to better approach a need within the community. Organisations whose sole aim is the promotion of political or religious beliefs will not be supported.
Application Criteria
- Grants must improve the way your organisation operates or delivers its services so that it can better meet the needs of the community or its service users.
- The application should address a proven area of concern or fill a ‘gap’ in community provision.
- Every area of funding has specific criteria that must be met in your application. Please read the specific guidelines relevant to the fund you are applying for to ensure your project meets the unique criteria.
