The United Nations Development Program in Kazakhstan, within the framework of the project “Preservation and Sustainable Management of Key Globally Significant Ecosystems for Obtaining Various Benefits,” has announced a national competition for legal entities to provide services for the development of projects for the natural-scientific and technical-economic creation of reserves and protected areas in project territories.
Purpose
- Assessment of the current state of biodiversity of project areas;
- Preparation of a report on the status of globally significant, key and indicator species in project areas;
- Development of projects of natural-scientific and feasibility study Creation of the Useksky reserve in the Almaty region;
- Development of projects of natural-scientific and feasibility study the creation of the Koksu nature reserve in the Almaty region.
- Development of projects of natural-scientific and feasibility study
- Creation of the Ketmensky reserve in the Almaty region;
- Development of projects of natural-scientific and feasibility study creation of the Terskey reserve zone in the Almaty region;
- Development of projects of natural-scientific and feasibility study creation of the Saur-Manyrak conservation zone in the East Kazakhstan region.
Duration
The total duration of work is 18 months from the date of signing the contract (July 2020 years – December 2021)
Eligibility Criteria
A service provider can be an organization that meets the following requirements:
- at least 2 years of company experience in organizing / conducting research and design and research work (date of registration of the executing company no later than 2018).
- experience in the preparation of justifications (ENO, feasibility study, land management project allotment lands) for the creation / expansion of protected areas of republican and local significance – at least 2- x years;
- availability of licenses for environmental design, topographic and geodetic and cartographic work;
- a list of similar services performed over the past 3 years, indicating the Customer, names of services / works, year of provision of services and cost (if possible);
- at least 3 reviews and recommendations from previous customers on similar / similar services for the last 3 years availability of appropriate material and technical base and software, necessary to perform this type of work, incl. GIS availability of basic materials (scientific, cartographic, statistical, natural-historical, etc.) by designed territory.
- a schedule of work (with the mandatory inclusion of the composition of the implementing group, involved in the provision of services in the sections of TK and the distribution of duties, descriptions methodologies and stages of work).
- availability of experts, specialists with a level of professional qualification and experience in environmental design. The composition of the expert group project implementation, which will be involved in the development of ENO and feasibility study.
Requirements
- Provides the original final versions of the projects ENO and feasibility study (including approved and a land management project agreed with all interested parties) in 2 copies.
- Provides photos on DVD media in two formats: JPEG (min. Volume – 3 Mb each photos) and TIFF (min. 15 Mb of each photo);
- Maps must be provided to the UNDP Project in ArcGIS mdb, mxd, TIFF and PDF formats;
- Performs all necessary work within the framework of this TOR;
- Transfers to UNDP all copyrights of the received video and photo materials.
