The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) has announced applications for Crowdfunding Academy 2021 to help entrepreneurs to attract the necessary funding to develop their own business.
Crowdfunding is a transparent and innovative tool for raising funds and supporting business ideas of citizens, as well as flexible testing of their own ideas and attracting a circle of loyal customers.
Leading experts in crowdfunding, copywriting, design and social media will help entrepreneurs attract the necessary funding to develop their business through online platforms and innovative methods. To become a member of the Crowdfunding Academy, entrepreneurs must apply with a description of their business idea, explaining why and how much money they need to raise. The organizers will select 30 applications from the most motivated participants.
Crowdfunding Academy is:
- 3 modules and 6 days of training with leading expert practitioners;
- online training and consultations;
- support in creating a crowdfunding application;
- launching a fundraising campaign;
- unique experience and new acquaintances;
- opportunities to find partners and investors.
Funding Information
Participants of past Crowdfunding Academies have successfully raised funds and even found foreign investors for their projects. Examples include starting your own business:
- science-quest game ” Secret Expedition ” (over UAH 63,000),
- WalQlike – excursions with riddles (over UAH 60,000),
- Volty Co – production of electric bicycles (over UAH 270,000),
- mini-park for studying English (over UAH 155,000),
- a private primary school (over UAH 35,000),
- IT education for teenagers in Mariupol (over UAH 123,000) and
- the creation of a family cafe in Mykolayivka (over UAH 132,000).
- In total, graduates of the Crowdfunding Academy have already raised over UAH 800,000.
Requirements for Participants
- have a working enterprise / business / project, or present a business idea and a plan for its implementation:
- a team of at least 2 people, preferably with experience in marketing or communications;
- have your own or partner FOP;
- willingness to invest time and effort in studying at the Academy and conducting your own campaign. In total, from July to September inclusive, it is planned to hold 6 days of training, regular online sessions and thematic tasks to prepare the campaign.
