UNDP/South Sudan: Call for Proposals for Small Grants to Conduct Outreach for Transitional Justice

The UNDP country office in South Sudan under its Access to Justice and Rule of Law (A2J/RoL) project is currently inviting Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) including NGOs and/or CBOs for its Small Grants to Conduct Outreach for Transitional Justice that reach out to the general public and create awareness while collecting perceptions on transitional justice issues and the mechanisms provided by Chapter V mechanisms of the ARCSS. Within this context and framework, UNDP is seeking CSOs to carry out the following engagements:

Preferably, specific emphasis must be placed on women and displaced persons. CSOs are encouraged to develop proposals based on their own expected results based on their analysis of the needs and particularities of the context and problems.

Objective

The overall objective of the grant is to reach out to communities and victims, raise awareness and solicit views about issues related to transitional justice and Chapter V mechanisms. These outreach programmes will enhance understanding about transitional justice, increase inclusive dialogue and act as a platform for South Sudanese to add their voice to and participate in the development of transitional justice processes and contribute to the transition of South Sudan from conflict to sustainable peace and reconciliation.

Funding Information

One or more grants not exceeding USD 100,000 will be made to different organizations within an 8 month period per project location.

CSOs are encouraged to develop their own expected results based on their analysis of the needs and particularities of the context and problems. The expected results may include the following:
