The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is seeking proposals for “Strengthening reporting and response to abuse and violence of children through the DCPANs, related to IKEA programme” with an aim to improve the lives of adolescents by increasing the autonomy that adolescent girls and boys have over decisions affecting their lives.
The goal of the programme is to protect children from violence and abuse in the districts of the two provinces with particular focus on child marriage through strengthening the existing Child Protection Action Networks for reporting and referal to services.
Tasks
- Desk (literature) review of already existing materials relevant for CPAN such as policies, studies, evaluation and Sops to highlight its functionality, capacity needs, challenges, strengths and weaknesses.
- Conduct two review workshops in Bamyan and Badghis to assess the performance and capacity of the PCPANs and DCPANs
- Revision of case management tools (SOPs) for strengthening CPAN functionality and effectiveness and development of training modules for CPAN.
- Conducting master training for group of people coming from provinces, including PCPAN TA, DoLSA CPAN focal point and UNICEF CP focal points at provincial level. The training will be delivered in collaboration with MoLSAMD and UNICEF CP experts. Logistics of the training will be arranged by MoLSAMD.
- Coach PCPAN and DCPAN at field level in endorsing the work processes in compliance with the agreed guidelines and achieving the programme results through the existing CP system and CPAN structure.
Eligibility Criteria
- Institution with minimum 5 years of proven professional expertise in child protection preferable in the area of community based child protection system building;
- Experience of managing and implementing community based child protection programme
- Proven experience of training materials development and conducting training.
- Good analytical, facilitation, communication and presentation skills
- Good experience of developing high quality report writing and documentation
