The Perth & Kinross Council is accepting applications for the Nature Restoration Fund.
Perth & Kinross Council has received £176,000 to spend on projects that address the drivers of biodiversity loss, namely habitat loss, habitat fragmentation and invasive non-nature species.
The Council's Community Greenspace team and the Tayside Biodiversity Partnership will drive projects across Perth and Kinross to further biodiversity. A proportion of the fund will be also available for communities to carry out their own projects which meet the purposes of the fund.
Themes
- Habitat Restoration: Creation, restoration or enhancement of natural habitat including water; or
- Habitat Connections: Creating or connecting habitat corridors, pollinator highways or other natural networks; or
- Removing invasive species; or
- Natural solutions that further biodiversity AND address climate change.
Funding Information
- The fund will be open to projects in the community of between £1250 and £12500 that meet the purpose and themes of the fund
Eligible Projects

Projects must be for
- Creation, restoration or enhancement of natural habitat including water and/or
- Creating or connecting habitat corridors, pollinator highways or other natural networks or
- Removing invasive species or
- Natural solutions that further biodiversity AND address climate change.
Outcomes

Applications are open to projects with the following outcomes:
- Creation, restoration or enhancement of natural habitat OR
- Creating or connecting habitat corridors including waterways, pollinator highways or other natural networks OR
- Removing invasive species OR
- Nature based solutions that further biodiversity AND address climate change.
