The Mary Kay Foundation (TMKF) is currently accepting applications for the Domestic Violence Shelter Grant Program to deserving women’s domestic violence shelters across the United States.
The Mary Kay Foundation awards $3 million to domestic violence shelters across the country.
The Mary Kay Foundation is committed to stopping the violence, breaking the silence and making a difference for these women and children:
- 1 in 4: the number of women who will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime
- $675,000: the amount given to underwrite the annual Conference on Crimes Against Women in Dallas, Texas, since 2007
- Over $50M: the grant amount donated to domestic violence shelters by The Foundation since 2000
Criteria
- Each year, the foundation award a grant to at least one domestic violence shelter in every state that applies.
- Any remaining funds are distributed based on state population.
- Applications are reviewed and recommended by the Domestic Violence Shelter Grant Committee.
- After reviewing these recommendations, The Foundation selects final grant recipients.
