The Somerset Community Foundation is offering grants under “Oake Sunshine Fund” to benefit residents of the parish of Oake, including the hamlets of Heathfield, Hillcommon, Hillfarrance and Oake.
All grants are made in consultation with Oake Parish Council.
Funding Information
- Grants of up to £2,000 is available under Oake Sunshine Fund.
- Grants, which they expect to average £1,000, can be made to community and voluntary organisations, registered charities, and social enterprises.
Exclusions
- While the fund is deliberately broad in scope, there are a number of exclusions:
- Individuals
- Promotion of religion (although projects that benefit the community organised by faith-based organisations are eligible.)
- Animal welfare (although projects that use animals to provide benefit to local residents are eligible)
- Activities that are a statutory responsibility or are otherwise not charitable
- Commercial organisations
