The Clarion Futures is pleased to launch the 2021-22 West Ealing Community Grants Programme to deliver well designed projects for the benefit of residents and the wider community in the West Ealing area.
Focus Areas
The Clarion Futures is looking to fund projects and activities that focus on:
- Young People (aged under 25)
- engaging young people in positive activities
- developing resilience and supporting young people through times of transition
- maximising opportunities for young people
- developing young people’s confidence and leadership skills
- improving perceptions of young people
- Older People
- reducing social isolation
- engaging older people in positive activities
- improving physical and mental wellbeing
- Families & Communities
- financial literacy and money management
- digital skills and access to online services
- reducing the impact of poverty
- safer neighbourhoods
- mental health and wellbeing
Funding Priorities
The Clarion Futures is interested in applications that can demonstrate an understanding of what is already going on in the community, and how the proposed project/activity will, for example:
- Make the most of existing provision in an area, add value, i.e. by reaching new participants, those that may be missing out or who are considered hard to reach
- Address a gap in local provision, i.e. where there is no similar existing offer in the area
- Make the best use of other local services, partnerships or networks
Funding Information
- Grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 are available to organisations.
Eligibility Criteria
Not-for-profit organisations including constituted community groups, registered charities, companies limited by guarantee, PTA or Friends of School groups, social enterprises or Community Interest Companies (CICs) working in or for the benefit of residents in the West Ealing area.
Organisations must meet the following eligibility criteria before submitting an application:
- Delivering a project aimed at supporting residents and the wider community in the West Ealing area.
- Projects must have a clear plan for engaging residents and the wider community
- Have at least three (3) unrelated management committee members
- Have a governing document
- Your group’s annual income last year was less than £500,000
- Have an organisational bank account in the name of the constituted group with at least two (2) unrelated signatories
- Have a record of income and expenditure or set of accounts
- Have a safeguarding policy if working with young people under the age of 18, or vulnerable adults
- Have the relevant insurance in place, including public liability and employer liability where required, before delivering activities
