USAID/Zambia: Seeking Application for USAID Stop GBV

Open Call: Feminist Events Dedicated to the National Day Against Domestic Violence

Deadline: 14 November 2017

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications for its “USAID Stop GBV” that projects in order to strengthen the environment for girls and women, boys and men, and members of key/priority populations, to live lives free of GBV and enjoy healthy-supportive, gender-equitable relationships.

The prior STOP GBV program (2012-2018) consisted of three projects supported by USAID and UKAId through the Department for International Development (DfID): Survivor Support (implemented by World Vision), Prevention and Advocacy (implemented by Zambia Centre for Communication Program), and Access to Justice (implemented by Women in Law for Southern Africa-Zambia). The goal has been to institutionalize services for GBV survivors in government structures and strengthen the quality of GBV service referral mechanisms.

The goal of the USAID Stop GBV Activity is to contribute to the improved health and human capital in Zambia, the stated goal of the Development Objective #3 in the USAID/Zambia Mission CDCS. This goal will be met via the pursuit of three objectives:
