Deadline: 1-May-22
Proposals are now invited for Visegrad 4 Ukraine small grant program to help mitigate the effects of war on the refugees arriving from Ukraine/residing in V4 countries.
This call strengthens the capacities of local authorities, public institutions and civil society organizations who provide the necessary assistance in terms of health and social services in the short- and mid-term, and to ease potential tensions between the refugees and local populations resulting from a lack of information, language barriers and social and economic differences.
The Fund is an international donor organization, established in 2000 by the governments of the Visegrad Group countries—Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia—to promote regional cooperation in the Visegrad region (V4) as well as between the V4 region and other countries, especially in the Western Balkan and Eastern Partnership regions. The Fund does so by financing grants and awarding scholarships and artist residencies through its annual budget of €8 million annually provided by V4 governments.
Focus Areas
Specific areas of support:
- Social and psychological services and assistance (incl. medial help, foster help, capacity-building for social work, social infrastructure development, etc.).
- Education and training (securing placements in kindergartens and schools, integration of children, older people and vulnerable groups, language courses and training in terms of other relevant skills, etc.).
- Free-time activities for adults and children (excursions, cultural activities and events, sports and other relevant activities).
- Employment (vocational training and courses for particular jobs and trades, support in job search, integration in local work environment).
