Deadline: 06-Jul-20
The Covid19 Coronavirus pandemic is challenging people like never before. So Wales & West Utilities Limited (WWU) has launched the Safe and Warm fund – a £50,000 pot that community and parish councils, not for profit co-operatives or community interest companies, charities and community groups can apply to.
At Wales & West Utilities their job is to keep you safe and warm at home. Day to day they do that by looking after the pipes that keep the gas flowing. You rely on them to heat your homes, while they also power businesses and essential services like hospitals.
From food banks to energy efficiency, domestic abuse charities to community transport – they want to support those on the frontline – helping the most vulnerable stay safe and warm.
Funding Information
You can apply for between £500 and £5000, and in your application, they will want you to let them know how the funding can help extend your existing funding and support those most in need.
Examples of what the Safe and Warm Fund can cover are:
- volunteer and staff costs;
- costs associated with communication including virtual;
- energy efficiency and safety advice and measures;
- running costs that enable the applicant to continue providing support;
- looking after people in vulnerable situations and providing safeguarding measures;

If the application is for core costs WWU will only consider applications that take into account the core costs which are proportionate to the project.
