WFG accepting Applications for Overcoming Hidden Forms of Violence against Women in the Regions of Georgia

Women’s Fund in Georgia (WFG) has announced a grants competition on “Overcoming Hidden Forms of Violence against Women in the Regions of Georgia”.

This WFG’s grants competition aims to encourage the efforts of women’s local non-governmental organizations in addressing the problem, raising public awareness, implementing prevention mechanisms and vigorously advocating policies directed towards combating violence against women.

The Fund will support initiatives that intend to reveal and fight hidden forms of violence against women, and that are targeted towards changing political and patriarchal views concerning this topic. The program is financially supported by the Sigrid Rausing Trust.

The Women’s Fund in Georgia welcomes initiatives oriented towards social changes, amongst which are:

Within this competition, priorities will be given to women’s coalitional initiatives from the regions of Georgia.

Funding Information

The grant amount is 5 000 GBP.

Duration

The length of the projects varies from 6 to 8 Months.
