Applications are now open for the Your Homes Newcastle (YHN) Community Fund, where local community and voluntary groups can apply for funding of up to £1,000 to help with local projects.
The fund has been set up to have a positive impact on the communities where YHN customers live, by investing in community projects and partners that are already doing great work on the ground and helping them to achieve more.
The aims of the YHN Community Fund are to;
- Provide support to communities during cost of living crisis
- Build stronger communities
- Reduce social isolation and loneliness
- Improve mental health and well-being
- Tackling digital exclusion and digital poverty
- Engage diverse communities
Thematical Focus
- Improve mental health and wellbeing
- Reduce isolation and loneliness
- Respond to the immediate impact of Cost-of-Living crisis through providing food, clothing, internet data and other ways
- Provide a warm space for people to use, including increasing opening hours of existing spaces
- Increase community resilience by supporting local community groups
Eligibility Criteria
The YHN Community Fund are open minded about the type of projects they will support and how they are delivered but, they do ask that the funding has a positive impact on YHN Customers and will be spent on at least one of the its themes
