Youth Endowment Grant Program in the US

Call for Proposals - Empowering Youth in the EU Outermost Regions

Deadline: 03-Sep-21

Apply now to the East Tennessee Foundation’s (ETF) Youth Endowment Grant Program to support creative solutions to problems that place the region’s youth at risk.

ETF is going to focus its Youth Endowment grantmaking on supporting programs that help prevent or mitigate Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), the root causes of these troubling, destructive, and dangerous issues facing youth.

ACEs are defined as stressful and traumatic events in a child’s life such as incidents of abuse and neglect, living in a household with addictive behaviors, and witnessing or experiencing domestic violence. Not only have these traumatic events worsened because of the pandemic, but they have become disproportionately more severe for minority youth and other vulnerable populations.

Social issues facing today’s youth have been exacerbated by COVID-19. Incidents of bullying, gun violence, mental health, drugs and alcohol, and eating disorders are among the problems that have increased and worsened, particularly for minority youth and other vulnerable populations.
