Criteria
-
First, have a think about what sort of project you’d like to run. Then, once you’ve got an idea:
- Talk it through with someone – speak with family, friends and your adult sponsor about your idea, so that you can come up with a clear and successful plan.
- Read the application guidance (this document!) – make sure you know what the YOF is all about and what you can and can’t apply for funding for, by reading the guidelines and this application form.
- Identify which theme(s) your project fits with.
- Do your research – make sure that your proposal is as detailed and accurate as possible. For example, if you want to hire some space out in a local youth centre then make sure that you have spoken with them about availability and cost.
- Attend a Funding Factory – come and speak with the YOF Panel and chat through your project idea and get their expert advise on how to write a successful bid.
