The Aspire Institute’s Aspire Leaders Program offers a free online leadership development journey for limited-income and first-generation university students and recent graduates worldwide. Participants engage in a multi-module program co-created with Harvard University faculty, featuring professional development, immersive masterclasses, and a global peer network. Overview

The Aspire Leaders Program provides a structured, interactive online experience aimed at developing leadership skills and professional growth for young adults from underrepresented backgrounds. The program combines self-assessments, expert-led courses, live peer interactions, and ongoing alumni opportunities to foster global leadership capabilities.

Program Structure

Module 1 – Personal and Professional Development (3 Weeks)

• Strengths-based leadership skills assessment

• Access to professional development resources co-created with Harvard Business School, including:

  • LinkedIn profile creation

  • Resume building

  • Interview preparation

  • Networking strategies

• Live interactions with a global cohort to encourage collaboration and shared learning

Module 2 – Aspire Horizons Course (5 Weeks)

• Delivered by Harvard University faculty

• Topics include:

  • Understanding yourself as a leader

  • Building trust and understanding context

  • Digital transformation and artificial intelligence

  • Addressing community challenges

  • Taking actionable steps in local and global communities

Masterclasses

• Synchronous sessions with world-class educators from universities worldwide

• Real-time engagement with peers and mentors

• Immersive learning experiences to apply leadership concepts

Eligibility

• Age: 18–29 years

• Limited-income background or first-generation university student

• Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a university program

• Acceptance requires submission of a 10-minute application demonstrating eligibility
