ARTICLE 19: Seeking Applications for Workshop on Regulating “Hate Speech” in the Media

ARTICLE 19 is currently seeking applications from representatives of audio-visual media regulatory bodies and press councils from across the European Union to participate in a two-day workshop on international legal standards on regulating hate speech in the media.

ARTICLE 19 is an international non-governmental organisation, working globally to promote freedom of expression and access to information.

The project is financially supported by the Rights, Equality and Citizenship (REC) Programme of the European Union.

ARTICLE 19 will cover travel, accommodation and a modest per diem while in London.

To apply, please send a CV and short letter of motivation, stating applicant’s expectations for the workshop and describing one good practice in the field of countering hate speech and/or promoting freedom of expression from their institution or their country at the address given on the website.
