UNESCO: Media Company to Adapt and Extend the “Keeping Girls in the Picture” Campaign

U.S. Embassy in Zimbabwe: Rural Reading Program

Deadline: 07-Jul-21

UNESCO is calling for proposals for Media Company to Adapt and Extend the “Keeping Girls in the Picture” Campaign.

The campaign aims to safeguard progress made for girls’ education, ensure girls’ continuity of learning during school closures, and promote girls’ safe return to school once schools reopen. The campaign concept aims to show what happens when girls don’t continue learning and return to school. Its visual assets highlight this with data and facts – taking them out of the picture. The campaign was launched on 31 August and by end-October had a projected reach of more than 360 million.

UNESCO is now supporting its roll out in regional and national contexts. The campaign targets girls, communities and education stakeholders at country and regional levels, with a specific focus on South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.

Scope of Work

In light of the above, UNESCO ROSA would like to contract a media company to adapt and extend the global back to school keeping girls in the picture campaign to the SADC region, linking it to the on-going Let’s Talk EUP Campaign. Furthermore, the contractor will support the roll out of the campaign at the regional, country and local communities making use of appropriate campaign tools/assets and technologies.

Objectives

Specifically, the objective of this assignment is to ensure that Global back to school campaign resources are customized to reach the SADC region, national levels and local communities. In addition, the assignment should guarantee that local needs and priorities are captured speaking to local contexts where girls are at most risk of losing out on their education.
