Open Call: Fellowships at the Cullman Center

MEST Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship - Ghana

Deadline: 27-Sep-2025

The Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers offers support to projects that utilize the research collections of The New York Public Library’s Stephen A. Schwarzman Building. The program welcomes applications from academics, creative writers, independent scholars, and visual artists whose work is deeply rooted in the Library’s collections.

Fellows receive a stipend of $90,000 and are expected to work on-site at the Cullman Center, Monday through Friday, from September through May. The fellowship aims to foster a vibrant intellectual community within the Library.

Applicants must be prepared to work primarily at the Schwarzman Building. While projects in languages other than English are welcome, applicants must be fluent in English and submit all materials in English.

The program does not accept applications from post-doctoral fellows or graduate students working on dissertations. All application materials—including a research proposal, CV, letters of recommendation, and a sample of writing or artwork—must be submitted in full. Dossier letters will not be accepted as substitutes for original recommendations.
