Deadline: 30-Dec-2025

The Bobby Anspach Studios Foundation is proud to announce its Bobby Anspach Studios Foundation Grant Program to support artists whose practices expand empathy, nurture connection, and respond to the ecological and social challenges of their time.

The grants emphasize artistic practices that address Environmental Consciousness and Climate Awareness, including works on climate change, sustainability, ecological thinking, environmental stewardship, and humanity’s relationship with nature. They also highlight Human Connection and Empathy, supporting projects that foster compassion, dialogue, shared experience, and collective responsibility while celebrating the interconnectedness of all living beings.

Another key focus is Transformative and Consciousness-Raising Art, encouraging works that shift perspectives, deepen awareness, inspire reflection, challenge assumptions, and promote mindfulness, presence, and social or personal transformation. In alignment with the foundation’s core values, the program also seeks art that creates transcendent experiences, integrates contemplative and meditative practices as creative or healing methodologies, and advances DIY innovation and accessibility by honoring resourceful, democratic approaches to art-making.

The program will provide a total of five awards in 2025, including two grants of $50,000 and three grants of $8,000. All grants are unrestricted, offering artists trust and freedom to advance their practice.

The opportunity is open to visual artists working in any medium or approach, including painting, sculpture, installation, digital and new media, performance, community or social practice, craft, interdisciplinary practices, and more. Artists at any career stage are welcome to apply.

The review process will begin with an initial screening in January 2026 to ensure eligibility and completeness. This will be followed by expert panel review in January and February 2026, alongside experts in contemporary art, psychology, ecological research, and contemplative practices. The final selection will take place in March 2026, with announcements expected in early 2026.

Applicants will be required to submit an artist statement of up to 500 words, a project proposal of up to 750 words, a visual portfolio with 5–10 files, an implementation plan of up to 300 words, a budget brief, a CV, and two references.

The application deadline is December 30, 2025, at 11:59 PM EST.
