I Know Gender 14 – Gender Equality and Voluntarism Program

The UN Women is pleased to invite applications for its Gender Equality and Voluntarism Program to help individuals familiarize themselves with the importance of gender as a crosscutting issue in volunteerism, in the context of the development agenda 2030, in particular SDG5 on gender equality.

Objectives 

• It has been developed with the collaboration of United Nations Volunteers (UNV) agency. The topics in the module address central issues regarding volunteerism and gender, such as:
  • Identify gender gaps and gender stereotypes related to volunteerism
  • Use tools, strategies and resources to promote full participation of women and men in volunteerism
  • Identify opportunities for volunteerism to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment

Target Audience

• The call is open for all UN System staff and others who are interested to learn about gender issues.
