The Visionary Women and the Hostetler/Wrigley Foundation are excited to announce the second annual Visionary Prize for Women’s Economic Empowerment.
This year they will recognize three visionary women leading nonprofits that advance women’s economic empowerment in the United States.
Prizes
- The following prizes will be awarded to the chosen leaders’ nonprofits for general operating expenses:
- 2023 Visionary Prize for Women’s Economic Empowerment: $75,000
- 2023 Visionary Prize Runner-Up: $25,000
- 2023 Rising Visionary Award: $15,000
Requirements for Qualification
- Qualifying applicants for the Visionary Prize ($75,000 award) must have been in operation at least 4 years, be able to provide data on prior outcomes/impact, have an annual budget in excess of $500,000, and be operating in the U.S.
- Qualifying applicants for the Rising Visionary Award ($15,000 award) must have been in operation at least 12 months and less than 4 years, be able to provide data on prior outcomes/impact, have an annual budget under $500,000 and be operating in the U.S.
Prize Criteria
- The prizes will be awarded to nonprofit organizations that demonstrably advance the economic empowerment of women through the following means:
- Provide access to capital;
- Provide access to non-monetary resources that support economic advancement (e.g., mentoring, training, personal professional development, or technical business support); and/or -Remove barriers to allow women to fully participate and succeed in the workforce.
