The Australian Alumni Association of Cambodia (AAA-C) is pleased to call for nominations of candidates for Australian Alumni Awards of the year 2018.
Award Categories
Nominations are now open for the 2018 Australian Alumni Awards in the following categories:
- Australian Alumnus of the Year Award: This award recognises the outstanding achievements of an Australian Alumnus who has made a significant contribution to their professional field. This award recognises the leadership role the Australian Alumnus has undertaken to effect positive change and to support Cambodia’s development in their respective sector or fields of expertise.
- Community Leadership Award: This award recognises the contributions of an Australian Alumnus who is making a positive difference to people at the community level, whether it be the alumnus’ local community or Cambodian society, more broadly. This award recognises the importance of Australian Alumni engaging in activities, including volunteering and philanthropy to improve the lives of Cambodians.
- Young Leadership Award: This award recognises the outstanding achievement of a young Australian Alumnus (under 35 years of age at the time of nomination) who has demonstrated success in their chosen field, including but not limited to professional, academic, business or community. The broad scope of this award is intended to commensurate with the shorter career span of young Australian Alumni.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for any of the three award categories, a nominee must:
- be a Cambodian citizen living in Cambodia; and
- hold a postsecondary or postgraduate qualification (i.e. Graduate Certificate, Diploma, Bachelors, Masters or PhD) from a recognised Australian education provider; and
- have undertaken their studies in Australia.
