France-Australia Science and Innovation Collaboration Grants is seeking applications for its FASIC PHC Programme which aims to support the launch and the critical early-stage development of bilateral research projects between France and Australia.
It also aims to support the strategic scaling-up of science and technology collaborations. The FASIC PHC program will contribute to initiate or reinforce bilateral research collaborations, will enable scientists from France and Australian research institutions to meet and discuss future collaborative projects. This program is meant to support the establishment of joint research labs or scientific networks between France and Australia.

Principles
This program is based on the following principles:
- Effective collaborative research projects: Submitted projects must be joint research projects involving at least a
- French and an Australian research partner ;
- Co-funding between the French and Australian partners:
- Matching fund from the partnering Australian research institutions is mandatory and will stand as one of the eligibility criteria of the submitted projects;
Funding Information
- Funding allocated through this scheme takes exclusively in charge French-based scientists mobility:
- Travel costs (economy airfare) and contribution to daily expenses in Australia (lump sum), with a maximum of 8000 € maximum per grant.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications shall clearly identify Australian research Institution partnering to the project. France-based scientists who will attend the workshop have to be listed.
- Scientists intending to be funded through this scheme have to be listed as well.
- Consistency of the co-funding arrangements for the proposed workshop will be justified by a commitment letter of the Australian funding partner(s).
- Submission to the scheme must be done by the Australia or France-based scientist coordinating the workshop project.
- The workshop coordinator must be either a post-doctoral fellow or a researcher. PhD students can be involved in the workshop project but can’t be identified as the coordinator.
- Researchers affiliated to French overseas territories Universities and research institutions are eligible and encouraged to apply
- Every party must agree to the terms and conditions of the document about good practice and intellectual property
