The Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) has launched its second call for proposals, under this second Call for Proposals for the WPHF in Jordan, the focus will be on Outcome Area 6 to contribute to the Government of Jordan’s efforts to design and implement an integrated national planning process that will be vulnerability based and will include both humanitarian, resilience and sustainable development priorities.
- Outcome 6: The socio-economic recovery of women is promoted in post-conflict situations: This can be realized by ensuring that women have the capacity and opportunity to meaningfully participate in recovery planning in order to guarantee that women’s and girls’ specific needs are met in conflict and post-conflict situations.
Funding Information
Project proposals should be for no less than 100,000 USD and no more than 200,000 USD. The maximum project duration is 2 years.
Eligibility Criteria
- Civil society organizations (CSOs) are eligible to apply: Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in partnership with community-based organizations; Women’s grassroots, local and community-based organizations registered with the Ministry of Social Development are encouraged to apply. Joint CSOs projects are allowed and encouraged. In cases where international and national NGOs are submitting proposals, the proposal must include a component of developing the capacities of the smaller organization.
- The Applicant Organizations must have legal status with the Ministry of Social Development, Government of Jordan. A proof of legal registration (or legal status) are a required attachment for any grant application. Applications without clear proof of legal status will be considered incomplete and will be withdrawn from the application process. Note that articles of incorporation are not proof of legal status.
- Organizations may not submit more than one application.
- For CSOs joint projects, only the lead organization is required to meet the eligibility criteria. The roles and responsibilities of each organization must be clearly detailed within the application. Proposals must clearly indicate which organization will take lead responsibility for project management and contractual obligations.
