Applicants are now invited to submit applications for the the Welsh Government Coastal Communities Fund for promoting sustainable economic growth and jobs in coastal communities.
The Welsh Government Coastal Communities Fund aims to support the economic development of coastal communities by promoting sustainable economic growth and the creation of jobs, so that people are better able to respond to the changing economic needs and opportunities in the area.
Outcomes
All projects funded through the Welsh Government Coastal Communities Fund are expected to deliver one of the following outcomes:
- Coastal communities will experience regeneration and economic growth through projects that directly and/or indirectly create sustainable jobs and safeguard existing jobs.
- Town centre areas in coastal communities will experience economic and social regeneration through projects that directly or indirectly create sustainable jobs and safeguard existing jobs, or address other local needs and priorities.
Funding Information
Applicants can apply for individual grants of between £50,000 and £300,000 per organisation, for projects that will support the economic development of coastal communities in Wales by promoting sustainable economic growth and jobs.
Timeframe
Final funding decisions will be announced in March 2021. Projects must start before 1 July 2021 and be completed by 30 June 2023.
Eligibility Criteria
- You can apply for round six of Coastal Communities Fund in Wales if you are a:
- private sector company
- local authority
- other public sector body
- charity
- voluntary and community sector organisation
- social enterprise, including co-operatives and community ownership initiatives
- development agency
- Your organisation must have a minimum of two unrelated members aged 18 or over on the management committee.
- They are unable to fund individuals or sole traders.
