The Texoma Health Foundation has announced a call for proposals for the Community Grants Program.
The Texoma Health Foundation (THF) is committed to creating a culture in which all residents in four-county region have the opportunity to live a life of health. happiness and hope.
Immediately following the outbreak of COVID-19 in the region, THF quickly relieved grant restrictions to allow current grantees to more appropriately respond to changing needs within their organizations and communities.
The Foundation also distributed funding and mental health alerts to grantees and partners while conducting surveys to better understand the status of area nonprofits and residents.
The Foundation remains dedicated to equity and are actively listening, learning and challenging their selves to improve as a foundation. They are incredibly grateful for theirpartners. donors and the many experts and mentors from across the globe who are working alongside them. helping to guide them and collectively investing in Texoma.
As the next step, the THF Board has approved a one-time modification to their annual community grantmaking for the 2020-2021 cycle by:
- broadening priority areas and
- relaxing grant application requirements.
The Foundation believes that this will help area nonprofits and the community as a whole.
Priorities
THF recognizes the difficulties facing communities across their service area. In response, 2020-2021 Grant Priorities have been expanded.
- COVID-19 PREVENTION: To support safe nonprofit worksites -protecting staff and guests/clients.
- ACCESS: The Priority on Access includes a strong focus on mental wellness, as well as programming that improves quality of life for all.
- HEALTHCARE WORKFORCE: THF has maintained a focus on increasing the number of nurses educated and entering their service area to work – addressing national and local shortages.
- EMERGENCY DOLLARS: The Committee will also consider applications in response to closures of nonprofits and/or critical programs as a result of COVID-19.

Eligibility Criteria
- Is your organization designated as tax exempt by the IRS
- Will the proposed project address one of the following:
- access to healthcare services mental wellness
- nursing pipeline
- COVID-19 workplace and/or community safety
- clospre of needed services due to covid 19
- Will the proposed project support direct services and/or projects offered within FANNIN COUNTY?
- The proposed project is eligible for submission under The Fannin County Hospital Authority-THF Partner Application
