The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) wishes to contract the services of an English Language Institution for the provision of English as a Second Language (ESL) to selected Venezuelan women and youth (girls) migrants, refugees.
Objectives
UN Women, is seeking to contract an English Language institute in Trinidad and Tobago to provide online English as a Second Language (ESL) classes to 250 Venezuelan migrants, refugees and asylum seekers (women and girls) between the ages of 15 to 60.
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification and experience
- Minimum of a Bachelors in Education, English Education, Language Teaching or a TEFL/TESOL certificate. A Master’s Degree in Education, English Education or Language Teaching is preferred but not required;
- Demonstrate experience in tutoring English as a Second Language to students;
- Member of a globally recognised network of ESL schools;
- Experience with migrant, refugees or asylum seekers will be an asset;
- Excellent communication skills; patience and ability to relate to students of diverse background; basic computer skills including knowledge will be an asset.
- Compliance with local laws
- The ESL institution should be registered with the Ministry of Education in Trinidad and Tobago (registration or pending registration, final approval or external evaluation with the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago [ACTT] will also be an asset).
