The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) has issued a call for proposals to provide technical support to the Government with a focus on Mission Shakti. This initiative is aimed at strengthening interventions related to protection, particularly in child protection, gender-based violence, and broader protection efforts.
The geographic focus for this call is India, specifically targeting the state of Assam. The proposals are expected to contribute to achieving Output 3 of UNICEF’s strategic framework.
By 2027, the goal is for children, including adolescents, along with their families and communities, to have greater awareness and more opportunities for participation. This is intended to help transform gender and social norms and to prevent violence, child marriage, and other harmful practices.
Proposals will be evaluated based on the clarity of proposed activities and expected outcomes. Additional weight will be given to organizations with prior experience working with the UN, as well as those with a strong local presence and proven expertise in the thematic areas.
