Deadline: 01-Oct-2025
The United Nations Industrial Development Organization is opening, for the third time, the 2025–2026 Call for Proposals under the South-South and Triangular Cooperation Mechanism (SSTCM).
The mechanism aims to drive inclusive and sustainable industrial development in Latin America and the Caribbean through knowledge exchange, strengthening of partnerships, and the development and implementation of joint solutions to regional challenges.
The initiative will prioritize industrial decarbonization, circular economy, digitalization and innovation, SME development, and renewable energy and energy efficiency. Cross-cutting approaches in industrial policy, gender equality, and youth empowerment will also be promoted.
The initiatives are expected to address national priorities and provide tangible benefits for each participating country, such as institutional strengthening, practical tools and methodologies, pilot projects on the ground, policy roadmaps, and enhancements in sectoral competitiveness. Each proposal must include at least one cooperating country from the region. Proposals can also incorporate triangular cooperation with countries from other regions, development agencies, regional banks, or multilateral organizations to scale up results and ensure their long-term viability.
Selected proposals will be granted technical and operational assistance from UNIDO. This support may encompass facilitating connections between institutions, coordinating experts, handling workshop logistics, producing materials, providing interpretation services, enabling the use of digital platforms, and developing knowledge products.
The deadline for submissions is 1 October 2025. Public institutions, technical organizations, academia, and private-sector entities are encouraged to submit initiatives that promote regional integration with verifiable results, direct country-level benefits, and measurable regional impact.
