Deadline: 15-Dec-2025
The Cynnal Endowment Fund – Groups, managed by Community Foundation Wales, offers grants to support educational projects in Gwynedd and Ynys Môn.
This initiative is designed to enhance educational opportunities for children and young people up to the age of 18. The fund focuses on activities that promote educational development, vocational training, health matters, and healthy living within school and college settings.
Eligible applicants include charities and non-profit community organizations that provide educational activities beyond the standard school curriculum. Schools in Gwynedd or Ynys Môn, used for charitable educational purposes, are also eligible to apply. However, the fund does not cover statutory provisions or costs that fall under mandatory requirements.
Grants of £1,000 per year are available for up to three years, with funds applicable to both capital and running costs of projects. Applicants must complete an online application form, ensuring that the project demonstrates a clear need for financial support, financial hardship, or additional support requirements. It is important to note that grants will not be awarded retrospectively, and funds must be fully spent within one year of receipt of the offer letter.
To be eligible, organizations must meet certain criteria, including being a non-profit entity such as a charity, community interest company, or voluntary group with a dissolution clause in its constitution. Additionally, organizations should have a minimum of three unrelated trustees or committee members, an active safeguarding policy, adequate insurance cover, and a bank account in the organization’s name.
