Deadline: 23-Nov-2025
The World Food Programme (WFP) has opened a call for proposals in Sudan, specifically targeting nutrition initiatives in Khartoum State.
This opportunity focuses on forming partnerships with competent and experienced Cooperating Partners (CPs) to implement and monitor nutrition activities over a twelve-month period. The initiative aims to build on both existing and new partnerships that bring together complementary expertise and comparative advantages to achieve WFP’s key strategic objectives within the Sudan Country Strategic Plan (CSP).
At the heart of this call lies a commitment to improving the nutritional well-being of vulnerable populations. The programme addresses malnutrition prevention, treatment, and broader nutritional support, ensuring that people have access to adequate, safe, and nutritious food. This focus reflects WFP’s belief that food security and nutrition form the foundation for progress in other areas of development, including health, education, and livelihoods.
The initiative is centered on Strategic Outcome 1 and 2 of the Sudan CSP, both of which are designed to ensure that all vulnerable individuals have access to sufficient and nutritious food. These outcomes are interlinked and mutually reinforcing, working together to create sustainable improvements in food and nutrition security. Through this call, WFP aims to provide a platform that not only meets immediate food needs but also promotes long-term resilience and better health outcomes.
Throughout the partnership, WFP and its Cooperating Partners will integrate complementary measures into food and nutrition assistance platforms. These measures will enhance the impact of interventions, helping to strengthen the overall nutritional status of affected communities. By addressing both prevention and treatment of malnutrition, this initiative aspires to create lasting change and lay the groundwork for a healthier and more food-secure Sudan.
