The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina has launched “Every Waterdrop Counts!” Initiative, which aspires to raise awareness about the enormous importance of water, water consumption and water saving among young people across the country.
Moreover, the Initiative aims to showcase the water beauties of Bosnia and Herzegovina with its numerous lakes and rivers, springs and waterfalls. A beauty which they must take care of!
The designs should cover one of the following water saving tips:
- Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth!
- Turn off the tap while soaping your hands!
- Take a short shower! Take a shower instead of a bath!
- Put a full washing load on!
- Fill the dishwater / Use a basket to wash dishes instead of running water!
- Detect and repair water leakages!
- Collect rainwater to water the garden!
- Fill kitchen utensils with water for cooking only as much as needed!
- Use a water-saving device in your toilet cistern.
- Or any other idea how to save water.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students of all ages from Bosnia and Herzegovina are invited to participate in the design competition on water saving and illustrate ways to reduce personal water consumption by sending a copy, scan or picture of their design in high quality to the e-mail address given on the website.
