The U.S. Embassy in Lome-Togo through this Notice of Funding Opportunity is pleased to announce that funding is available through its Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program.
PAS Lome invites proposals for programs that strengthen cultural ties between the U.S. and Togo through cultural and exchange programming that highlights shared values and promotes bilateral cooperation. All programs must include an American cultural element, or connection with American expert/s, organization/s, or institution/s in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives. Examples of PAS Small Grants Program programs include, but are not limited to:
- Academic and professional lectures, seminars and speaker programs;
- Artistic and cultural workshops, joint performances and exhibitions;
- Cultural heritage conservation and preservation programs;
- Professional and academic exchanges and programs;
Priority Program Areas
Programs should support at least one of the following ICS goals:
- Goal 1 – Advance Peace and Security: Promote Peace and Social Cohesion in Togo
- Goal 2 – Promote Trade and Economic Growth: Stimulate economic growth and employment
- Goal 3 – Strengthen Governance and Democratic Institutions:
- Promote Accountable, Transparent, and Responsive Governance
- Support Democratic Processes and Promote Strong Democratic Norms
- Goal 4 – Support Opportunity and Development: Support Opportunity and sustainable development
Funding Information
- Length of performance period: 3 to 12 months
- Number of awards anticipated: N/A (dependent on amounts)
- Award amounts: awards may range from a minimum of $2,500 to a maximum of $15,000.00
- Participants and Audiences: All Audiences
- Program Performance Period: Proposed programs should be completed in 12 months or less.
Eligible Applicants
Eligible Applicants the Public Affairs Section encourages applications from U.S. and Togo as follows:
- Registered not-for-profit organizations, including think tanks and civil society/non-governmental organizations with programming experience
- Individuals
- Non-profit or governmental educational institutions
- Governmental institutions
- For-profit or commercial entities are not eligible to apply.
