U.S. Embassy Islamabad’s Public Affairs Section (PAS) is pleased to announce competition for an assistance award through Public Diplomacy Grants program. U.S. Embassy Islamabad invites eligible organizations to submit proposals for an award to support a series of media reporting tours to showcase various aspects of the U.S.-Pakistan relationship, including longstanding development and assistance programs.
The program is designed to inform the Pakistani public about: 1) how U.S. civilian assistance is contributing to Pakistan’s stability, prosperity, and self-reliance; and 2) how, working in cooperation with the Government of Pakistan, international donors, and development partners, U.S. assistance has supported Pakistan’s efforts to spur trade and economic growth, and strengthen the rule of law, civil society, people-to-people ties, and the fight against infectious diseases, such as COVID-19, as well as the direct impact of related programs.
Goal: The project aims to engage journalists from national and regional media outlets, granting them access to content that will enable them to produce news and feature stories on U.S. civilian and developmental assistance to Pakistan in different sectors, particularly in the areas of health, education, entrepreneurship, women’s empowerment, law enforcement, energy, and infrastructure development.
