Watershed Assessments for National Water Quality Initiative in Western Massachusetts

The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) under the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), in Massachusetts, is seeking proposals from partners to develop watershed assessment plans to support the National Water Quality Initiative through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP).

This opportunity provides technical assistance funds to complete two watershed assessment plans on HUC12 watersheds identified in Massachusetts as:

South River – HUC12 Code—10802030501—located primarily in the Towns of Ashfield and Conway, Massachusetts.
Upper Manhan River (Headwaters to North Brook)– HUC12 Code 10802010608— located primarily in the Towns of Westhampton and Southampton, Massachusetts.

Funding Information

The total amount of Federal funding the agency expects to award through this opportunity is $100,000.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for this opportunity is limited to the following entity types:

City or township governments.
County governments.
Independent school districts.
Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized).
Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS (other than institutions of higher education).
Private institutions of higher education.
Public and State-controlled institutions of higher education.
Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities.
Special district governments.
State governments.
