Children’s Services Fund of Jackson County is now open to support the programmes that promotes mental health and social-emotional well-being for children and youth, aged 19 and younger.
The Fund was created in 2017, enabled by Missouri Statutes (RSMo 210.860-861 and RSMo 67.1775.1), voter approval of a designated eighth of a cent sales tax in November 2016, and Jackson County Ordinance 4951, which was approved by the Legislature on January 17, 2017.
Areas of Interests
Examples of services that could be funded through the Children’s Services Fund of Jackson County include, but are not limited to:
- Temporary shelter for children and youth
- Counseling and in-home case management
- Parent education
- Family intervention programs
- Home-based family interventions
- Community-based family interventions
- Abuse prevention programming

- The Board of Directors for the Children’s Services Fund of Jackson County has approved a $30M funding opportunity for 2022 and 2023
Eligibility Criteria
- This opportunity is open to both new and existing partners.
Areas of Exclusion
The following are ineligible costs and activities for the Children’s Services Fund of Jackson County:
- Inpatient medical, psychiatric, and chemical dependency services;
- Transportation services;
- Capital campaigns, construction and building expenses.
