Are you aged 12 – 26 and looking to develop skills and experience in your creative field? If yes, then apply for a Drug Aware YCulture Metro Grant program.
Drug Aware YCulture Metro is a funding and development program for youth arts and culture projects based in metropolitan Perth.
Drug Aware YCulture Metro is funded by Healthway and delivered by Propel Youth Arts WA to promote the Drug Aware message.
In Drug Aware YCulture Metro Grant program you can make new contacts, work with people in the industry and learn more about arts management by challenging yourself to build your own project from the ground up.
Drug Aware YCulture Metro funds projects by young people, for young people.
The focus is on community engagement and youth skills development, and can include projects such as community events, creative workshops, production developments and showings, and live performances across all artforms.
Proposed projects should also have the ability to have a broad participation reach that targets young people.
All projects will need to be undertake place in the Perth metro area. There is aken in a healthy environment and strictly smoke and alcohol free.

- You may apply for up to $4000.
Funding Expenses
Funding can cover project expenses including:
- Artist Fees
- Materials
- Promotional costs
- Documentation
- Venue Hire
- Equipment Hire
Eligibility Criteria
- Individuals – There must be two key project organisers aged 12 – 26, and applicants must secure an incorporated organisation to Auspice the grant.
- Youth groups and collectives – Similar to individuals, there must be two key project organisers and they must secure an Incorporated organisation to Auspice the grant.
- Organisations – Incorporated non-profit organisations that are predominantly organised and run by young people aged 12 – 26.
Criteria
- There must be two key project organisers aged 12 -26 years.
- There must be as least 6 young people aged 12 -26 years directly involved in the project.
- The project must engage at minimum 250 indirect participants as participants or audience members, and also demonstate extended reach through online promotion or activities.
- Projects must promote and support healthy messages that are relevant to young people and align with Healthway’s key priorities. This can include supporting young people through complex topics such as mental health, identity, body confidence etc.
- Your project must involve an experienced mentor to ensure you maximise your skill development.
- If you are applying as an individual or part of a group you must arrange to have an incorporated organisation act as an auspice on your project.
- All events and activities must be smoke, drug and alcohol free.
- Your project must take place in the Perth metro area. There is a separate funding pool for projects happening regionally.
