Mid Sussex District Council is inviting applicants for its Corporate Grants.
Priorities
- The project benefits the wider community
- All applications will need to demonstrate how their activity can help the Council to deliver on at least one of its Corporate Priorities:
- Financial Independence
- Effective and Responsive Services
- Sustainable Economic Growth
- Strong and Resilient communities
Types of grant
- Community grants
- Grants of up to £5,000.
- For projects where money is needed for an activity or piece of equipment which will benefit the community or contribute to the local economy.
- Facility/Capital grants
- The council holds a Section 106 Fund which can be used to support capital projects concerning works to:
- Community buildings
- Recreation facilities (play areas and sports)
- Public artworks
- The council holds a Section 106 Fund which can be used to support capital projects concerning works to:
- This money often has restrictions attached and can only be used for specific locations.
Eligibility Criteria
You can apply for a grant if:
- The grant will be of direct benefit to the residents of Mid Sussex District
- At least 80% of the people that will benefit from the project must be residents of Mid Sussex
- You are a:
- Not-for-profit group
- Charity
- School
- Parish or town council
- You are a community group/club/society
- Your society must be properly formed and has a:
- Governing document or a constitution
- Bank account and financial records – or financial projections if newly formed
- You are a:
- Your organisation must be open to all and have an equal opportunities statement.
