The Cumbria Community Foundation is seeking applications for Positive Disruptors programme to empower young people to ‘positively disrupt’ the status quo, to give them a platform to be heard and to break down the barriers for aspiring young entrepreneurs.
Aims
The aim of Positive Disruptors is to:
- give young people aged 10-25 years from disadvantaged backgrounds in West Cumbria the opportunity to have their ideas and ambitions heard and the potential to have them realised
- challenge young people to think creatively and in more enterprising ways
- empower young people to ‘positively disrupt’ the status quo and to be heard
- support young people to test out their enterprising ideas
- break down the barriers for aspiring young entrepreneurs, by developing an enterprising culture based on encouragement and support
Funding Information
Ten successful entrants will be awarded £1,000 to help them realise their ambition.
What support will you Recieve?
As well as receiving the grant, the Foundation has teamed up with the Centre for Leadership Performance to provide each young disruptor with six months of support, including a series of workshops, expert advice, mentoring and opportunities to shadow local entrepreneurs to help bring your idea to life.
Eligibility Criteria
If you are aged between 10 and 25 and live in either Allerdale or Copeland and have a great idea, you can apply!
